I thought it was about time I tell you all what ,or rather in my case who, my muse is. Everyone has a muse and for a time I came to envy those who actually had their own muse...an ethereal sentient being that looked like any other human being or even just a jumble of lines. I knew I had one. A hard headed impatient someone jabbing me in my side to draw from 12-3 in the morning, but alas like many of my dreams(or rather the few I remember) my muse had no face...I could not truly picture my muse. Still there was something there. After awhile I pushed it aside and thought, "Oh well, it's not like everyone on this entire planet has a muse." Yet as I grow and my obsessions mature into a respectful love I figured out what/who exactly my muse was. Now it has a face to go with the finger jabbing my side as I sit somewhere with my notebook and pen in hand to at least doodle while I do nothing. My muse is my so called "manwhore" Sonic the Hedgehog. The head hedgehottie himself. >^.^< The more I thought of why he just so easily replaced the faceless muse that urged me on the more it made sense. I was introduced to the Sonicverse via my step-cousin whom I have not seen for years, but about 2 years ago talked to on the phone. It was video games and then came the mother of all Sonic cartoons, SatAM, or rather Sonic the Hedgehog for you non Sonic fans. I remember getting up at 7 in the morning just to watch it. After Chris was gone and SatAM was replaced with Power Rangers, I soon had my own Genesis to continue my Sonic games on and along with the purchase of the Sonic and Knuckles collection came my first comic book and I was quickly subscribed into the Archie version of SatAM. Fanfictions were an addiction then as well. When I began drawing my own characters after trying to make a fanfiction in my mind but realized it would fail as a fanfiction, but perhaps work as something else, I mimicked the Archie Sonic style. As time passed and my love for cartoons continued I started picking up things here and there and slowly and steadily heading away from the Archie style and adding anime and many other influences to it. I'm still constantly influenced by many things Sonic although like Disney and Archie, Sega has been screwing fans like myself over and bringing us unbearably close to cutting ourselves off from the newer generations. This annoying generation filled with yiff/hentai, Marysues, and art theifs. It makes me sick. Do you know how craptastic it is to run into a fellow Sonic fan and have her hate you just because you love him too and thus she sees you as trying to steal her "man"? To become competition for a fictional character? Ugh... Nonetheless. I won't ever stop loving Sonic. He is my muse. He is pretty much the father of my art. So when I continue my fanfictions and I add myself as a fancharacter guess what I will be? No not a fucking idot Marysue. I will be one of Sonic and Sally's children...the middle child to be exact. >^'^< I'll have a very minor role as most of us fangirls should give ourselves, but seldom do. I simply felt that needed to be explained. There you have it...forgive my small rant at the end. |

I've done this once before on mai Deadjournal. No replies there...but I do this for mai own gud and reference so bite me you non comment giving wenches!

Story Origins: Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction (based more upon the Satam/Archie comic world, but this story is also complex enough that should I feel like or even need to it does not need to be a fanfiction whatsoever and can stand well enough on its own.)
Name: Jin (formerly known as Jay)
Species: Caracal/Lynx? (I'm still debating...I just kinda sewed him together in mai mind)
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Information: A child born at sea on the pirate vessel Sea Phantom (reference to another character from the same story don't think about him for more than necessary) leads today. He quickly made friends with Angel and Swift(see first image). He lived life peacefully and enthusiastically until tragedy struck. While playing hide and seek one day upon the sea vessel with Angel and Swift he was caught eavesdropping on the villain making his evil plans. His lips were cruelly and tightly sewn shut to keep him from leaking any information and he was also beaten. He lost his parents along with Angel and Swift's shortly after. Having lost any passion for life he finds a reason to continue living when Angel gives him her favorite scarf, a gift from her own father for him to cover his scars, because he would constantly turn away in shame from anyone who would speak to him. Her own spark of life even after their sudden and recent tragedy urged him on and he quickly developed an undying loyalty to her. He called it love. When she left for the floating island he was left without a reason to live once again and stayed on the island where her ancestors came from. An elderly echidna took him in and taught him his ancient swordplay. (Edit: I'm back here we go again!) Being the last swordsman of his type the elderly echidna lovingly although obsessively taught his art to downhearted Jin. Jin in turn found a wonderful distraction in the training and soon came to conclusion that he would protect everyone he loves using the echidna's technique and teach anyone who was worthy. END.
The rest will most likely be included in the fanfiction itself. I hope he is interesting...the bisexual part only mai lil sis understands because that part comes veeeeeewy late in the fanfiction. If you like I have no problem leaking the information of how a seemingly super straight character has any reason to question his sexuality and ends up loving a dude. Jay is part of the only two homosexual couples I have as brainchildren...the other couple isn't even in the same story...and now I'm rambling on aren't I? Okay...enjoi! Would any of you like to hear more of mai brainchildren? Just wondering...I'll stop now. |

You Know You're Addicted to Photoshop When... |
You see the world with one eye and stock images with the other.
When asked what the primary colors are, answer "RGB"
You get the urge to 'fix' poor quality images.
You start teaching your significant other to use this "evil" program and in the space of one afternoon convince them it's at least only quasi-evil in the face of PSP.
You ramble about a breakthrough in the piece you're doing to people who have no idea in hell what you're talking about
You ponder the meaning of existence without layers.
You never leave the house without a digicam and notepad.

And so with this new schedule of doom I am here updating this worthless page. Does anyone else cringe when they see the commercials on Disney Channel for their anime wannabe Jake Long:American Dragon? Ugh...no comment. Has anyone seen the commercials for Avatar: The Last Air Bender? That one looks awesome! I so want to fucking see eet! Gawd yessssss...the animation looks deelishus! The only thing is that I can't figure out if it's an official anime or an American anime, from the commercials the animation looks Japanese enough, but certain stylistic aspects and expressions look, well, Teen Titanish. Not that that's a bad thing at all. Damn you 3D animation! 2D shall always be mai first love!
